Well, what a weekend!

The sun stayed out and we had a fantastic time at Pembrey for a Drift-Inc Weekender. Not too many issues and gained some much-needed seat time in advance of Drift Matsuri.

The little Audi that could is still in ongoing development (and will probably always be), but is finally proving it can put the power down when needed at maximum angle. We also managed to take a joint 1st place in the competition on Sunday, which was definitely a surprise as there was some quality driving throughout the weekend.

Our first run was scrappy, and trying to pull 3rd gear through the tight corner at the bottom of the track was a mistake, but a tidy 2nd run meant the Audi hit the podium in the top spot.

It was a great event and I can’t recommend these Pembrey days enough. Got to meet some new friends and chill with all the regulars too, all in a relaxed atmosphere which is just the way we like it.

The Audi drove off the truck under its own power at the end of the weekend which is perfect, and while there is a list of things to look at before the end of the month, nothing seems to be majorly broken.

Thanks to Lensburn and Blacktop Photography for the pics.

Roll on Anglesey!
